With thanks for sponsorship received from Itirele Charitable Foundation, another successful Abigail program in Sasolburg has been completed enabling the empowerment of 30 Female owned businesses from the Vaal. This business development program was facilitated as 1 week intensives over a period of 5 months from July to November 2022.
The Abigail Enterprise initiative endeavours to support South African women entrepreneurs, especially Previously Disadvantaged Individuals (PDI) to become financially independent. The programme develops personal and entrepreneurial skills necessary to run effective and profitable businesses, thus empowering participants to be successful business people. It covers a range of aspects required for successful business operations and growth as well as helping to develop skills for personal mastery. The program also includes mentorship with successful female entrepreneurs from the Vaal region, implemented as a 2 hour mentorship circle at the end of each week of training.
Positive feedback from all the participants was received, relating how the training received was relevant and practical and helped change their business practices. Additionally, the inclusion of personal development, emotional intelligence and leadership courses provided insight and growth so that they are better equipped to manage their professional and personal lives.
