Dear LUSA Community Chest,
I am writing this letter to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible opportunity I had to be a Generation@ peer facilitator from 2014 to 2016. I am truly grateful for the experience and the impact it had on my life and career.
During my time as a peer facilitator, I discovered my true purpose of being an educator. The moments spent working with the students and witnessing their growth and development ignited a passion in me to pursue a career in education. Being able to make a positive difference in the lives of those we facilitated the program to was incredibly rewarding and fulfilling.
Not only did being a peer facilitator help me realize my calling as an educator, but it also influenced my decision to pursue a Bachelor of Education degree. The skills and knowledge I acquired during my time as a Generation@ peer facilitator laid a strong foundation for my academic journey. I am proud to say that I have successfully graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree, majoring in Business Studies and Life Orientation.
I firmly believe that the work done by LUSA Community Chest, through its Generation@ program, had a meaningful contribution not only to the students we facilitated the program to but also to the facilitators. The program nurtures personal growth, fosters leadership skills, and promotes a sense of community and belonging. It has been an honor to be a part of such an impactful organization.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the staff and volunteers at Generation@ who made this experience possible. Your dedication and unwavering support have been invaluable to me, and I am forever grateful. The skills, knowledge, and friendships I gained during my time as a peer facilitator will stay with me for a lifetime.
Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for the opportunity and for the impact you have had on my life. I look forward to continuing to support and contribute to the work of Generation@ and to inspiring and educating students in the future.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Katleho Motloung
