Introduction
STEP UP! is a dynamic 5-day programme designed to prepare unemployed youth in South Africa for entry into the workplace and entrepreneurship. This transformative experience blends emotional intelligence, creative practice, and values-based professionalism, this programme provides young participants with the inner capacity and practical tools to navigate real-world work environments with confidence.
Primary Objectives
- Equip youth with professional presence, communication, and interview skills
- Foster emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and resilience
- Build readiness for workplace culture, teamwork, and feedback
- Promote local entrepreneurship and roots-level economic participation
- Inspire youth to “give themselves a job” through self-leadership and community innovation

- Day 2: Identity, Attitude & Presence, Professional Etiquette, Personal Branding, Leadership
- Day 3: Interview Readiness Communication, Dress, Role-play Simulations
- Day 4: CV Writing & Purpose Mapping, Skills Discovery, Writing Templates, Professional Language
- Day 5: Entrepreneurship, Vision Setting, Graduation

Measure of Success: Monitoring and Evaluation
